I played with my daughter today, she is 13 years old and her goal is to make the high school golf team as a freshman next year, she was at a golf summer camp this year and the coach from the high school was there, he came over to her and asked what grade she was in and what high school she will be going to. He told her that if she continued to practice and kept her GPA up she should be OK.

We went out today and played 18 holes, we usually just play 9, man, she was on fire, we were paired with another couple in their 40's and she was out driving the other woman by 20-30 yds every shot, she had about 3 three putts on the front and 4 on the back nine, she duffed at least 4-5 chips around the green and she still managed to shoot 52 on the front and 52 on the back.

She only lost one ball which was on the 17th hole which is a par 4 island green.

She beat both of the other two players by around 8-10 shots, to say I was very proud would be an understatement, to watch her hit the ball so long and straight is an absolute pleasure.

The golf coach that she has every week says that if she can shoot in the mid to high 40's for nine holes she should make the team, we have until the end of the summer to get her there but she should make it I think.

I just wanted to share my day with you all, as it's got to be one of my best days the year.
