When are tournament player schedules set?

How far in advance is the final list set for what players will be attending a tournament?  I am thinking of going to Vancouver this year to watch the RBC Canadian open. There isn't any update on the website. Too bad the British open is the week before as this seems to deter some of the bigger names to attend the Canadian Open.

The official policy of the tour is "The players have until 5 p.m. ET on the Friday of the week preceeding the tournament to officially commit to playing. The field is released and published by the PGA TOUR and PGATOUR.COM as soon as possible after 5 p.m. ET on that Friday"

However most players will set their schedules well in advance, depending on their status. Being exempt gives them a luxery of picking and choosing. The various tournaments usually publish the "Field" list on the Sunday night or Monday morning the week of the event. Best place to find out what events certain players are playing is to checkout their website. Some put their schedules out, not all do though.
