Hi  I played 2 rounds at Founders Club last July. A practice round prior to the Myrtle Beach Father Son Tournament and 1 round during the Tournament

I enjoyed the course, the conditioning was excellent; the course flow was excellent and you will be presented with many challenges. You won't be disappointed playing the Founders club.

The course has the latest grass technology for the greens - they were fantastic.

I also scored my 1st hole in one there and won a $1000 - one of those charity deals - pay $10

It has been a few years since I played Pawleys Island so my memory may be hazy, but I give the edge to Founders Club.

I've played both and would give the nod to Founders, although some of my MB trip group prefer Pawleys Plantation. The front nine at PP is nothing special, but the back 9 has some cool holes along the marshland. The greens at PP were very heard and fast. Hard to hold and found myself rolling off many greens into bunkers. FC doesn't have the ambiance to match the back 9 at Pawwleys, but it does have a nice consistenet style throughout, lots of big waste bunkers, and a couple holes with large elevation chnages , at least by Myrtle Beach standards.

If I was going to play 36 with Cally as my first 18, I'd choose True Blue. Cally and TB are my favorite 36 hole combo in MB and since the two courses are affiliated you can probably get a discount to play both.  Founders is sort of "TB lite", If you haven't played TB you should.

If you didn't care for True Blue, I'd say skip Founders.  Pawleys is a good choice. If you like Caledonia and want to play another course of a similar style, you can consider Heritage or Willbrook

if you didn't care for True Blue you should go with PP not Founders. in my opinion it is a no brainer if that is how you feel.
