Super squeeze=super shot?

First, I have standard grips on all clubs...

So in practice today, I realized if I really squeezed my grip very tight with a ton of pressure (while keeping my arms tension free), my shots with all of my clubs had excellent pure contact and all were slight push draws.  If I go to my normal grip pressure (quite a bit looser), I lose my angle on the downswing and tend to cast the club straight into the ground several inches behind the ball, leading to either a fat or topped shot.  All I am doing is changing grip pressure.  What gives?

Your tightened grip pressure means tightened forearms which translates to you retaining the flyign wedge for longer I'd say.

It 'feels' like all you're doing is gripping harder but that gripping has a knock-on effect in the rest of your arm.
