I am interested in a new set of Vokeys - and really like the black nickel finish but it seems that option is no longer available.

1. Was the black nickel finish ever available on the spin milled version ??

2. Has Titleist stopped producing the black nickel finish all together ??

3. How much difference is there between the spin milled version of the Vokey versus non-spin milled

Thanks for your help

sdn40,

The only available finishes for the spin milleds are oil can and tour (satin) chrome.

The black nickel finish is still available in the 200 series as a special order through Titleist dealers.

Very significant difference in spin, the spin milled wedges have much wider and sharper grooves which are milled which also provides for a flat face which helps with accuracy. From short shots around the greens all the way to full swings, you will notice the spin milled wedges spin much more than the 200 series.

If you don't have a problem generating spin and you like to play a premium ball, you might want to consider going with the 200 series instead of the spin milled. They chew through balls like its nobody's business, great wedges though.
