I recently purchased the Nickent Evolver driver and found only one seller on eBay offering the CYG hosel, so I purchased two.  Everything that I've read about the hosel says that I should loosen the clubhead and rotate, or click, the hosel.  The hosels that I received don't turn at all (I've had one installed and the other will be done next week) .  The only way that I can reposition the clubhead is to take it completely off and move it to a different position.  Did my eBay seller sell me fake product?

Long time Evolver user here and huge fan...welcome to the club!

One must loosen the screw and almost remove the clubhead almost completely to change the position. It will not rotate while screwed in or even if the screw is only slightly loose. Doesn't sound fake to me (and the Chinese must be getting pretty desperate if they're making fake CYG hosels for a bankrupt company!).

And btw, if you don't have the official wrench, a 1/8" allen wrench or hex bit fits perfectly into the triangular screw.  And the screw is a standard machine screw except for the triangular receptacle, so i think it's probably impossible to overtighten and strip the threads using an Allen wrench (as opposed to the Taylormade weight plugs).  You could probably even find the same screw size/shape at a hardware store with a more standard hex opening...

Thanks for the reply.  I've been to the range a couple of times with two different shafts and love what the Evolver can do.  I spoke to a couple of people before your reply who said exactly what you did.  I appreciate your response.
