What do you to calculate your handicap?

The one I used to use turned into one where you need to pay and I don't want to pay for that. I'm looking for a cheap one, it doesn't need to be PGA approved.

Is that some excel spreadsheet with the functions laid out already? That would be superb

I have no idea how well this app works, and do not make any other claims about it, but it is excel-based (and free):

ChartMyGolf.com have said they are including handicapping in the Fall update. Nice stats program.
