Kaymer Sacks His Caddie

Martin Kaymer has sacked his Scottish caddie, Craig Connelly.
Seems a bit strange considering the success they’ve had together.

It does seem a bit odd, but considering the amount of talent Kaymer has, he should probably be winning more or at least a little more consistent. So maybe a change on the bag isn't a bad idea for him.

He always looks so cool and calm, but seems to have a mental problem on courses that don't suit his eye (Augusta). Those are things a caddie can help with

Frankly I'm always surprised that many player/caddie relationships last as long as they do.    They spend hours together working under very high stress situations along with hours of seemingly endless boredom.    It must be very hard to get a match where not only the mindset for the golf game has to be in alignment but the personalities have to get along as well.

After a while, even the little things they do probably start to really wear on each other.    Just like in a marriage - when it starts out everything is rosy and every little thing she does is cute and adorable, but after enough years you get the biggest urge to smother her in her sleep with a pillow because you can't stand the way she chews her cereal in the morning.     Ooops, did I just say that out loud?
