Hello fellow addicts.  I’d like to see if any of you have input on a question I have regarding shaft and head compatibility.  I played a TaylorMade R5 up until I recently discovered a spider crack in my club head; draw an imaginary line from the end of the shaft to the ground and you go the spot.  I know most are asking why I’m still playing an R5 anyway.  Well, I’ll just say I’m a frugal golf addict…I still play TaylorMade Bubble Burner 2 graphite shaft irons as well…don’t judge me, they get the job done.  After I discovered the crack, a golf buddy offered to sell me his Nike SUMO 460 at a price I could pass up.  The club had a stiff shaft that I was able to play if I choked down and placed the ball a bit further up in my stance.  However, I prefer the R-flex that’s in my cracked R5.  Does anyone know if my R5 stock shaft would be compatible with my SUMO head?  I like how the SUMO feels and responds, and my research has indicated it’s cheaper to place another shaft in my SUMO than it is to purchase another TaylorMade head for my R-flex shaft.  Any advice anyone has is welcomed and appreciated.  Thanks.
