As far as I can tell, the easiest way to find out if there are replies to your posts in threads is via the "My Profile" link at the top of the page. From there you have to fiddle around with the "Gear & Courses", "Forums", "Articles" and "Profiles" buttons to turn on/off specific filters. You also have the option of looking at "Subscriptions Only" posts by clicking the relevant button.

The problems I'm seeing are that when any of the filters are switched on, they automatically swap to the default when the user navigates away from the page or the page is refreshed. That means if I want to only see my "subscribed" posts in the "forum" section since the last time I checked, I have to switch off all three of the other filters and then switch on the "Subscriptions Only" filter whenever I go to my profile.

If I then click the "More" link at the bottom to load more threads, all the filters show as they've been set however new posts that are loaded into the page are not filtered - threads that I am not subscribed to are also shown.

Filters also don't always work. For example I have two items under "Gear & Courses" where I've reviewed my gear. I've un-subscribed to one of them as I don't want to see further comments on it and the other is still subscribed, however when I apply the "Subscriptions Only" filter, both of them display, one with a blue "subscribed" icon and one with a grey "unsibscribed" icon.

I believe that:

  1. Any new posts loaded when clicking "More" should have the filters selected applied to them before being displayed, otherwise there's no point in having the filters to begin with as they're pretty useless if they only apply to the first 20 results.
  2. Any filters chosen by the user should be saved with their profile so that they're applied again when the user next logs on to save them having to re-apply all the filters they want every time they log in.
  3. A filters "reset" button would be useful.
  4. The filters functionality needs to be exhaustively tested (each combination of filters should be tested with and without "Subscriptions Only") by Huddler to make sure it works as it should.

    • Day 51 (yesterday was 50, not 59 -- that was a typo).  I didn't have a ton of time today.  I hit a dozen balls with a 6-iron in my practice room.   Amazingly, after this I did the ShotScope analysis of yesterday's round;  my approach play was at the 5 hcp level.  That's pretty darn good, but unfortunately for my score, some of that came from hitting a few good recovery shots.  But I also hit some really good approach shots that weren't from trouble!

    • Shot a 37 today! Palmer Course, PGA National. Really fun. 6/9 GIR, no lost balls. The double and the bogey were both three putts from like 35 feet or so.  The birdie at the last was really fun. I stood over that fifteen footer and thought wow I’m really about to make this, aren’t I? And I hearted it. Really fun. It’s like 9000 degrees outside but I battled through it well. Good times.
    • I had been in a bit of a slump for the month of June. Handicap index has slowly risen, and there were few sub-80 scores. Today was a different story at Leslie Park GC. Lots of solid shots, GIR's, up & downs, for a 77 (7.8 differential). As with most rounds, there were a few loose shots and crappy putts, but it was a good day.
