Had a fitting at a local golf store today.  While I am still a hack I do try and wanted to make sure any poor results were me and not poorly fitting clubs.  It didn't take very long.

First I was measured for distance from wrist to floor.  Then I warmed up hitting some balls before hitting my 7i with tape against a lie board (???).  The results were standard length and standard lie.  Looking at my swing the only suggestion made was to change from A-flex to reg flex shafts in my irons.  When I started golfing two years ago I drifted to the light flex shafts because I had success with them.  Now I am finding success with reg flex clubs whenever I try them.

When does swing speed come into the fitting process and for what?

What else can/should be covered in a fitting?
