Hi

New to the sandtrap - been scouring the forums and thought I'd join in the debates from good ol' blighty!

I'm in the market for an R11 driver and musing over the R11 TP because of the extra shaft options. Should I worry and just stick to stock?

Sadly I have little opportunity to try out all the shafts, so given that the standard TP comes with a fujikura blur what are the advantages and differences over the other shafts?

What shafts do others have in their R11 or R9??

I'm intending to buy the 10.5 with stiff shaft.

Until recently I used a Mizuno MP600 - 9.5 deg with stock regular shaft. I was losing distance and control and borrowed a friends Ping G2 with stiff shaft which I'm getting on really well with, gained distance and keep it in the fairway (well most of the time anyway).

I play on a windy course so high ball flighty is a no no

Any advice appreciated - would love to be able to try them all but pretty poor round my way for trying these out.

Thanks all

If your spending the 400 bucks, get fitted.  It would be worth a drive to get the right shaft and head.  I'd rather know than guess.  I've done it many times and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
