Played 18 with a demo of Cleveland's new XL270 driver. My demo had the stock Miyazaki C. Kua shaft in a stiff flex with 10.5* loft. My current driver is a TM Burner Superfast 1.0 in a 9.5* loft with a 45" R9 Fujikura Motore 60g stiff shaft.

My first impression of this club was pure class. No flashy junk here, just a nice classic head shape and no graphics to distract you on the top half of the shaft make for a very clean look at address. The classic shape was refreshing compared to the Superfast (which has a pretty ugly shape IMO). This club is a full inch longer in the shaft than my chopped driver, which didn't bother me at all, and I'm sure played a role in the added distance I was seeing.

On the course this thing was an animal. I was hitting multiple tee shots on the holes that called for a driver to get some mileage on my demo. Let me say that this club is LONG! Excellent sound and feel at impact. I've never had such a tight dispersion with a driver before, I hit two drives to about 260 yards and they were about 8 feet apart. I was producing a higher ballflight than I'm used to and I was landing the ball with much less roll than I usually get, but I was still out-driving my current driver by 10-25 yards and I'm sure the longer shaft helped, but I was very impressed to say the least.

I want to try out a G15 to see which one I like better. I'm in the market for a new driver and this one stepped right to the top of the list.

Give this one a swing!

Totally agree...this is the new club I have recently purchased and am quite impressed.  the sound reminds me of the Johnny Cash song slamming a slegde hammer onto a RR tie. I have BLINDLY purchased the matching 3W FL just b'cause I am so pleased w/the driver.

I agree with you on the sound LOL.

The final word between my buddy and I was "This thing is a god damn cannon"

    • Day 228 4-4 More hip/chest turn and wrist arching. Working on hinging wrist a bit later. Foam balls.
    • Day 27 (4 Apr 26) - Worked with grandson on basic pitches/punches in the back yard with varied irons/wedges.  Wrapped up the day rolling some putts on the 30’ carpet I can set up in the yard to give varied terrain - and this carpet rolls almost too easy. A great way to figure a read and know that pace has to be near perfect to get in the hole.
    • A bit of a struggle today.  Just some thoughts/musings.  For the backswing, it is like I am never going to be moving on from this. I don't know if I can ever get to the point where the backswing isn't like over 1.5 seconds in duration. Which is probably not ideal. I would like to get to the point where I can just fling the arms back and up.  I have to feel like my hands are going to hit my right thigh from P1 to P2. If not then they like to move 2-5 inches towards the ball from P1 to P2. Then it's just bad from there. This feeling is my hands not gaining much depth, just maintaining depth from set up. From the DTL view, the hands head towards the camera.  While I am doing that, hinge the crap out of the club with my wrist only. Hinge in a way that the club is pointing at the camera at P2.  From P2, lift the hands straight up. I can get here, and still roll the club inside and get it way too shallow.  With the downswing. There isn't much here. I still can't get the flow of this or the sequencing of this to line up. It doesn't help that hinging from P1 to P2 just throws off my entire timing as well.
