Looking to the right at address?

Hi all.

I've been nosing around various golf videos and have noticed that a lot of pros or good players seem to look to their right at address as they start the takeaway. The focus point, based on where the face is pointing seems to be the right foot.

Does anyone have any idea what exactly the idea behind this is?

Google 'eye dominance golf' or something along those lines, and you'll be reading for a while.  I do the same thing, though the mirror image version -- I golf left-handed, and I'm right-eye dominant.

This may not be the reason that everyone does it, but it's why I do it.  It is a way of physically feeling that you are staying behind the ball through the whole swing.  My Dad always said/says "keep your left ear behind the ball."  I'm pretty sure in all these videos the players are still looking at the ball, despite having their heads tilted.
