I have the following bag this season:

Mizuno MP-001 10.5 degree
2005 Callaway BB 3 wood
TM Rescue Mid 19 degree
Mizuno MX-15 #4I - SW
Odyssey 2 ball DFX

Cant decide whether I need a 5 wood in this lot or not, cant seem to get consistency off the tight cut Carnoustie fairways with the Rescue club, can anyone help.

I don't use a 5 wood anymore.
I never could hit it the way I wanted to.
I just got a 2 hybrid
Hoping it will do the job

Nope. You don't need one. Just might be that burning urge to buy a new club... haha... We all get that. But your current set up looks just fine.

The hybrid club you mention should be very easy to hit from a variety of lies, including tight lies. Might I suggest, respectfully, that you examine the swing you're putting on your hybrid. After all, their design enables them to be so useful and if you learn to use that club well, you can save the money you would otherwise spend on a club you may actually find more difficult to hit from a tight lie.

Shortgame that is the best advice I could probably ever hear, I too think the reason I struggle with the club is because of my execution. I have been told my swing is very nice, but its just the finer points that need tweaking, like maybe turning the hands over or squaring the clubface up. I will refrain from making any further purchases and try to learn with what I've got.
