Have you videotaped your swing?

One of the best things I ever did was videotape my swing to see where I was needing to improve.

I did it for my dad because on his practice swing, he'd make a good clean backswing. Yet every time he stepped up to the ball, his backswing would go vertical - he never got it horizontal. I had to show him on video so that he could consciously monitor how far back he went.

With my own golf swing, I'd film from different angles. Sometimes I found myself bobbing - raising up a tiny bit, but enough to knock my shot off-center and make me almost top the ball.

This is a great tool Girlie! Many people rely on others to give them swing tips, etc... So, I encourage everyone to use their digital camera, have someone help with the video recording, and tape your swing.

From here, I also find the program called V1 Home to be extremely useful. Just download it and you'll understand. You can upload your video and easily have your video on your screen, along with different options to look at your swing, draw lines, and even compare yours side by side with a pro's.

I taped mine today... I always thought that I play nice but that swing looks more like a tennis punch than anything else I hate that digicam!

I taped mine and put it on the website. I thought i had a very nice swing, but in fact I have many many flaws.

It's probably one of the best tools. I discovered that my backswing was going far past horizontal and then I was having to pull it UP to start my backswing, which threw my whole swing off. But videotaping really lets you learn a lot because you spot all the little fractures in your game.
