Hi All, Just wanted some advice on what to do next. I've been playing the mp-32's for the last five years, probably to advanced a club for my handicap but there is nothing like it when your having a great ball striking round!! Anyways, I figured why not move to a GI and see whether it takes my game to the next level, as there were just too many inconsistant strikes at important moments with the 32's. After extensive research and testing, the closest thing I could find to the buttery feel I was looking for was in the Wilson staff ci9's. The mp 53's were amazing, just not in the budget!! Settled on an iron that felt great, was affordable, and I had a good association with.

Since my club head speed is not the fastest, the fitter I was dealing with said I should consider moving to a regular flex on my shaft. The set I tested was stiff and they felt good and were keeping the ball straight and the mp's I play are DG S300's. So I figured I couldnt go wrong with the TT uniflex option, right in between reg and stiff. Order the clubs and when they come in, Im thinking I just made a mistake. About half way down the shaft there are about 6 steps bunched together. So, I'm thinking that looks aweful but if they hit the ball half as well as they did in testing I could deal with it. First session on the range and my old faithful draw became a lazy high fade/bordering on slice!! Tried closing the club face differnet stances, same result.

I've read that if your shafts are not stiff enough for your swing, they will open on impact and cause the fade, but with my swing speed is (approx 98mph with driver) how can this be? Is it possible that I swing hard with my irons and light with my driver, or are these shafts just that bad?? TT wilson staff uniflex
