Spikes

What spikes are you using as replacments. It seems Golfsmith offers three kinds, scorpion stinger, pulsar softspike and black widow soft spike. Any thougths?

I've been using Black Widow spikes for the past couple years in both sets of my shoes. They grip fine for me and they wear pretty well.

I just bought a pair of Hi-Tec shoes this year that came with Scorpion Stinger spikes so I tried them for a round but I thought they were too "grabby" just walking the course. They have a real aggressive profile on the three yellow tines. I think they'd be great for someone who wants very agressive grip though or in wet conditions.

The Stinger spikes are great for dry (desert) conditions, however the Pulsar spikes are a little more comfortable to walk in. Still I'm sticking with the Stingers.

No question, the Stinger shown above is AWESOME!

Of course they have very good traction - but they are also very long lasting.

Great replacement spike.
