ILLINOIS - Eagle Ridge Resort

Have any of you ever played at Eagle Ridge Resort in Galena, IL? I'll be going there in a few days to play the East Course, North Course, and The General and was looking for any tips or suggestions for a first timer out there. Heard they're supposed to be nice courses with a lot of elevation change.

If you have been there, how was your experience and what courses did you play?

Been a few times and played them all. I really like both the North and South courses. East is a great nine hole layout. I found the General least fun. Lots of cart-path only holes and when playing with higher handicap guys, we spent a lot more time looking for balls, walking back and forth to the carts, and taking forever. That said, it the signature course and is very beautiful. BTW, all the courses have lots of blind shots. So, check your yardages and line and watch the ball as best as you can. I recall many "good" shots that seemed right down the middle and were never found. Bring a good attitude and lots of balls. :)
