Titleist Irons Recommendations

I work at a golf course, my boss loves titleist and encourages employees to use their clubs. Want to get some titleist irons. I have been using some king cobra improvement irons with graphite shafts for the last year and a half, and used jr clubs before that(im only 16). My handicap index is about 13 or 14 im not positive but it is improving quickly as I start playing more and more.

Any recommendations for a model of titleist irons that would be good for my game would be appreciated. I also would like to know what type of shafts and what flex etc.

Also i am curious what anybody might think of these specific sets (i found good deals on these) and if they would be for my game:

Titleist AP1 710 irons (from what i've heard, maybe a little too forgiving or beginner of a club)

Titleist 695 mb irons (from what i've heard, too advanced of a club for me)

Titleist forged 735 cm irons (maybe a good fit, would love opinions)

I could be wrong from what i've read and heard about these clubs and am completely open to other suggestions so please if you know anything on the subject I appreciate youre two cents.

I think the AP2 should be a good for you. To me, the AP1 did look too much as a super game improvement iron. I'm not sure, but I think the 710 AP2s come stock with True Temper shafts. I used to own the first gen AP2 with PX 6.0 shafts and I loved the higher trajectory I was getting. The shaft usually depends on your swing speed and do you want a lower or higher trajectory.

I hope your boss is giving you a good deal - otherwise buy whatever you want, and buy used.

If you check what Titlist Pros are using on the Titlist website you will find a few of them using a AP1/AP2 split set, something to think about. ( If your getting a good deal.)

Since your young and work on a course borrow clubs, and play with them. (Like your bosses.)

PS: Did you see the Karate Kid?

Find an old set of blades, something like 40 year old Hogans, Wilson's or MacGregor's (there's a set laying around somewhere) and give them a go for a couple of rounds. If you can fly the ball with those you know that no modern club is too advanced for you. Learn to hit an old 1 iron - after that the rest are easy. I still keep old irons around for just this purpose and I'm  an old geezer - playing AP1's. (I'm not stupid.)

id say go got the blades, by the sounds of it you seem pretty dedicated and your handicap isnt bad for your age, you'll start to appreciate how good a blade feels soon, but if your struggling with distance eg, hit your 9 iron 110yds or something, don't go for blades.

or u can try go half and half and make your own titleist version of nike's vr pro combo and go pw-8i blades, and 7i-3i ap2's

thanks for the thoughts any opinions on the forged 735 cm's? I can get them brand new in the plastic for under $400

i own a set of 735 cms and i love them!! awesome clubs, great feel and you can really hit a low stinger and those really high soft fades....
