I recently bought a set of Callaway prototype irons with TT Black Gold shafts (stiff) (came with the clubs). My experience with them was surprising, and not in a good way.  I had been hitting a set of  Callaway X forged with Project X shafts.  I hit the ball high with my irons and expected the prototypes and the b/g shafts to bring my ball flight down, but the contrary happened.  Ball just kept going up, and up and the feel was comparatively harsh, which I would have expected on miss-hits, but not on good shots

I did a search here and saw that at least one user (620 forged) had a similar experience with the b/g shafts, but that was some time ago.  I am looking for any recent perspectives to see if it is likely the shafts, the clubs or both.  Trying to determine if it is worth me spending some $ to try them with the PX shafts I am used to, or whether the clubs are just not for me.

Your perspective is appreciated.

Please disregard this post. Took the clubs out today for a round with real balls and real playing conditions rather than the range and they were great. Very satisfied with them.
