Hi, fairly new to golfing just been playing a few rounds with friends over the past 6 months and lots of driving range for fun but for a living I buy and sell things so naturally as I learn to play I learn what to look for and buy it either cheap or in bulk. Well I bought a bunch of clubs and maybe I just dont know anyone who has been around long enough to know what I came across its a all wooden club, shaft and all looks approximately like a 5 wood and has a metal bottom looks to be brass or of the likes and it says "Thunder Wood" with a lightning bolt emblem etched into it and nothing else on the club or grip other than it appears to be gripped with a lamkin grip. Can anyone tell me anything more about this club or is it just a good piece to start a fire with?

It's probably not worth much with the Lamkin grip, but post a picture. It might be a good conversation piece to have in the bag - just for kicks.

    • We had a member of our senior club who developed a mental block on pulling the trigger. I played with him to see what the membership was talking about. I timed him a few times when he would get over the ball. 45 seconds. He knew he had a mental block and would chide himself, “Just hit it!” Once on the green he was okay and chipping was a bit better. It was painful to watch him struggle. Our “bandaid” was to put him in the last tournament  tee time with two understanding players. We should have suggested to him to take a break from our tournaments. I agree with the idea that when a player realizes they have a problem, the answer is to go fix it and not return until they are able to play at an acceptable pace.
