Adams Idea tech V3 Hybrid?

So I am a fairly new player and enjoy going out atleast once a week.  I hit my irons fairly well.  As most new players I have trouble with the longer clubs ie driver 3 wood etc.  I was looking into getting the 19 degree Adams hybrid as a replacement off the tee.  Id rather be shorter and straight than off in the woods.  Anyone played this club or have a hybrid suggestion for an off the tee club?

My buddy has this club and it is LONG and easy to hit.

I have never hit a Hybrid close to as long as this one.

Go and try some in a golf store and see which one you like
