My playing partner insists I have an "out to in swing" and I need to correct it, by trying to swing more inside the line.

I do slice almost everything.

Anyone got any good drills to stop me coming over the top ?

Put a bottle of water about an inch behind the ball and right on line and slight to the right of the ball (assuming ur a right hander)

Like that (B) is the ball [P] is the bottle. If you come over the top you'll smack the bottle.

Ahhhh, the out-to-in, gotta hate it. My favorite drill is to take a range ball and an empty bucket (the ones you get the balls in). Put the ball behind your club and set up the bucket SLIGHTLY to the inside and behind you (like, right behind the mat or 2 feet behind you) -so looking from behind at you, move it to the left, for a righty-. Then SLOWLY take the club back and drag the ball with your club and try to put the ball in the bucket.

If that is kind of confusing, you can always put a golf club horizontally to yourself and practice taking the club back inside of it. However, I find that the biggest problem for "out to in" is not the takeaway but the initial part of the downswing. Anyways, best of luck!

On your downswing, try to deliver the butt of the club outside of the ball.

Try to push the ball, you can't push the ball with an over the top swing. Obviously this is only for practicing, you don't want to be pushing everything, however you'll probably have better luck playing with a push than with a pull.
