I am trying to reshaft a ping 7 iron; it is a orange dot rapture. I was wondering what the lenght is susposed to be. I bought this demo because I took the sizing test and it required a orange for me. I broke the shaft after just a few hits. I am 5.7. I believe there might something to this because I just bought a new set of calaway razrs and I am not connecting well, lots of mishits. The few times I hit the rapture, I did hit it decent. any help or where can i get the info. Or any comments about this.

The PING color chart is a good starting point.  It matches your height with your wrist to floor measurement.

I would emphasize that it's only a good starting point.  You should get a dynamic fitting (at least hit off of a lie board) to get a real sense of what length/lie adjustment you might need.  FWIW, I'm 5'4" and my clubs are -1/2" and 2* flat.

If you are playing the the remaining set of ping orange dot irons, I would measure your 8 iron and 6 iron, add the lengths up and divide by 2 and I bet that would give you the 7 iron length.

My guess if its an orange dot ping, those are typically for shorter players and are probably 1/2" shorter than standard length.

I too am 5 4" on a good day, lol and I currently use TM Burner plus irons.  Standard they are 1/4" longer than Pings so when I was fit they took off 3/4".  I was also fitted for Pings that day and they were 1/2" shorter and also adjusted the lie to 2* flat.

Also bear in mind that your swing plane will also affect the correct length/lie for your clubs; a one-plane swing is gemerally a lot flatter than a two-plane and so may require shorter shafts and flatter lies.
