I am currently using the Nickent 4DX Evolver driver and I was wondering, would I be able to take virtually any shaft on the market and have it fit into the hosel on my current shaft (have it removed first obviously)? I was going to go to GolfGalaxy for a fitting as my Regular flex shaft is definitely too whippy for me (UST V2HL Reg flex) as I'm swinging 98-104 mph. The shaft was simply an accident as I thought I selected Stiff.

I was just hoping I could pick out a stiff flex shaft and possibly buy another hosel from ebay and then have both shafts ready to go. Would this be a possibility? (I am knowledgeable in golf, but the shaft sizes in millimeters and what type of hosels they will fit into and stuff confuses me). I'm not the hardware golf guru by any means lol.

Absolutely.  Just buy some hosels on Ebay as you mentioned -- you can find them in both .335 and .350 diameters (pretty much the two "standard" sizes for graphite driver shafts), offering even more flexibility in shaft choices (i.e. no need for shims or sleeves to fit a .335 shaft into a .350 hosel if you just buy the right one). But either diameter Evolver hosel fits into the clubhead (i.e. there weren't different heads that took different sized hosels).

The "stock" hosels for the UST's and most other shafts offered with the Evolver are .350 diameter by the way if you were thinking of having your old shaft pulled from the hosel instead of buying a new one--but for around $6 bucks a hosel, it's probably a whole lot easier & not much more expensive just to buy more.

And then, probably like many of the other Evolver lovers on this forum, you'll start to accumulate a small collection of shafts--it's fun to tinker on the range, and amazing how feel & ballflight can vary with different shafts, until you truly find the one that suits you best (i've now sold most of my extras, at least the ones i know that don't suit me at all).

Right on! Thank you very much for all of the helpful information. I'm definitely going to go the eBay route and pick up some spare hosels as you suggested. I do like the V2HL, but I definitely need a Stiff shaft. The V2HL R is a little "whippy" for me and quite hard for me to control with my swing speed and lack of mental control lol. It's too hard to just make myself slow down and that is usually the time when I'm most accurate (go figure!).

Thanks again and +1 to you!
