So I like midsized grips, and I prefer a cord or hybrid type such as New Decades. New decades are highly available, well recommended, and come in a number of sizes and profiles.

Problem is, neither they nor any other grip I can find comes in both midsize and ribbed. And wanting either full or half cord makes this even tougher.

I have one club, an ancient Hogan one iron, which has a ribbed half cord, and I like the profile a lot despite it being smaller and worn to hell. I also have a similar design to the new decade in a midsize, but it doesn't balance in my left hand like the flatter ribbed ones do.

So, can anyone recommend some solution? I could get standard ribbed and add 2-3 wraps of tape, but I'm worried about stretching the cords and getting cracks. I have heard of adding a strip of plastic rib under the grip, but I believe that might be illegal and it sounds like a stupid idea. Would a smaller core stretch over the .600 butt and get close to midsize, and if so would it still crack?

Shaft size is standard .600 by the way. Why don't any manufacturers make these?
