Does anyone have the RASR Upright Caddy push cart. I like the concept, but have seen only a couple of reviews.

I have one. It's turns heads and you'll get a lot of comments since hardly anybody has them. I've had mine for about and it works fine. It's not as sturdy as a sun mountain micro or a BagBoy quad but it is easy to get the clubs in and out of the bag. Also the company has great customer service if something goes wrong with it. The one I got had a wheel that was not exactly straight so it looked a little odd when it rolled. I sent an email to the company and they expressed me a new one no questions asked.

Thanks for the info. I ended up getting a BagBoy Quad in March. The RASR was interesting, but too little in the way of reviews to take a chance. I've played 100+ rounds with the Quad and it's a great push cart.

As you might see from my pics I am using a Quad too now. I still have and use the RACR my 10 year old son uses it a lot too but I needed a clean new cart to take photos for my product packaging. BagBoy has been very supportive of me in the development of my product so I am returning the favor with some free publicity. Upright has also been supportive and will be the first cart company to offer the brush on their carts and web site but they are nowhere near as  recognizable as BagBoy for packaging purposes. The RACR looks different from all other carts so when people saw my RACR for the first time with a prototype of my brush on it they assumed that the cart company included the brush so it was a good conversation starter.

If you check out my brush and want to test one out just reach out. I'm bringing it to market within the next month or so and I will need product testers who will receive promotional pricing for their feedback.

I have the RASR and love it but one wheel came off. Trying to find the website but it is not working. Do you have the email you contacted them with? I need a new wheel.

Thanks

    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.

    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
