Hey guys,

Any tips on how I can prevent myself from swaying. I usually try to turn my left foot in a little, and flare my right foot (I'm a lefty), to try to get a proper turn but sometimes I can feel myself sway. Are there any drills I can do to see how the proper turn should feel?

I have that same problem if I'm not careful. I try to focus on keeping my right (rear) knee flexed the same amount through my backswing. It's hard to sway much if your knee stays flexed and you rotate around it.

Hey guys,

I was a major swayer. Took a lesson, the instructor put a ball (around the size of a basketball) between my legs with the label pointing at the ball. Keep it there on your back swing = problem solved. Worked for me.

Hey guys,

Start with all of your weight pre-set to the right. Your backswing is then pure rotation, then a weight transfer and rotation the other way for the downswing.

I think you meant the other way way around, as he's a lefty... You mean that he should start will all of his weight on his back foot. What you said was that it should be on the front, which would cause a reverse pivot. Maybe I'm backwards, though!

Yes, reverse everything I said for a lefty. I missed that part (the lefty part). Good catch.

Something golf-related and non-animated would help. My guess is some of the other members may give you negative reputation points for having an obnoxious animated image in your signature.
