Amateur Tournaments

Was curious to which are the best amateur tournaments in the country.  I have played in the myrtle and mesquite, both are really good.  But I have heard of a couple more in Palm Springs, Atlantic City, Michigan, and Fort Myers.  Interested to know what your thoughts were and if any of these or others I haven't heard about are worth looking into.  The Sun Cup looks good and is in my neck of the woods, curious to what the consensus on that tournament is.

Have you ever checked out the Golf Week Amateur Tour (formerly ea golf tour)? I have played in a few events. I believe it is the largest amateur tour in the us or at least one of. I actually played a few rounds with the founder, Dennis mcCormick. He was a tour manager for rolling stones and former college golfer who started a little mini tour in north Carolina And it has since spread throughout the country into different sections. There was a huge bidding war between golf channel and other big tours but he ended up partnering with golf week to maintain some control. I see you are a bulls fan, so if you live in chicagoland they have a Chicago tour. It is season long points based tour and I believe the top 5 from each section qualify for the national championship in Hilton head island. Check it out...www.amateurgolftour.net
