Does anyone out there happen to know what, if anything, became of Triumph Golf Company? I've been on the lookout for Triumph clubs for a while, and have seen none at all. Even the Internet turns up almost no trace of the company. All I can find is that apparently a Rhode Island businessman by the name of Bob Adams bought the company in 1993, along with his son. Bob Adams died the following year, but I'm pretty sure the company outlived him, because my Triumph irons were made much later. AFAICT, they were still making clubs in the early part of this decade, but have since totally disappeared.

( As an aside, the man behind Adams Golf is a Barney Adams... different guy from Bob Adams. )

Any leads or other information would be appreciated. I have a Triumph TC-100 1 iron that is now pushing 20 years old, and a set of we-didn't-bother-to-think-up-a-model-name irons that are 1/4 of that.

Wow I was just looking at my old business card did a goggle and found this. I worked there just a couple of weeks shy of 20 yrs. Yes back in the day when we actually made woods. I was the plant Mgr about the last 7 years. yes you are correct about the buyout by Bod Adams and his death. The son Matt Adams took over the company and wound up hiring a consultant I think due to his lack of business experience. Basically we were the main supplier to what was called the NGBA. They were the bread and butter of the company and had been for years and they wanted exclusive product. The consultant (William Jesse) who I thought was a shyster from day one wanted to buy out another company without funding. His thought was if we have the bank will give a line of credit on it. So after taking over the other company ( sorry I don't remember their name) and trying to get a bigger line of credit the bank said no way. So with finical issues in September of 1999 the company was supposable bought by Northwestern so they could get into the NGBA. Mover from Orlando, Fl. to Chicago. I was offered to take a trip up there to check it out and being a Floridian all my life I declined because of the cold. And went on to be a plumber. Never really tried to follow what was going on or keep in touch. I found out at the end it wasn't the first company William Jesse ruined. There was a period of time late 90's and early 2000's Matt Adams was doing a show on the Gold Channel but I never kept up with that either. Matt was a good guy and probably still in the golf industry somewhere.
