how does this look in terms of keeping head still?   I concentrated on lifting the chin a little and putting more weight on the balls of my feet to hopefully not fall back on the downswing.  I have to say that i got a different driver this time i got a titelist 909d3 i also took my right thumb off the shaft and put it more of the side of the shaft. I wish i knew how you guys put those lines on there but i wish i could do that

Here are a few things to look at.

First: The setup with Alvero Quiros, which is the extreme opposite of you to see how he looks on the downswing.

st1.jpg

Much better on the backswing. Notice how Alvero lowers his head, this is something all pros and good ballstrikers

do to create power on the dowswing.

st2.jpg

Notice Alvero's impact postion compaired to yours. He remains down through impact and you start to come up.

st3.jpg

You can see in the image below that you have lost you inclination and Alvero has not.

st4.jpg

After the club passes the right shoulder is when you start to come up out of your inclination. Alvero is still down

and you are standing up at this point.

Try and work on maintaining your inclination more. Swing a little slower than you normally do to help maintain

this through impact. Also make sure all your weight is on your left side when you finish your swing.

everything golf what do u think.  i think it is better than before but no as good alvero.  I think my head and torso goes to the ball a little but i still pull up at the end i don't know how to fix that.  Also when i tried this with my irons i couldn't hit crap i was taking huge divots that started at least 6 inches farther back than normal.  Any reasoning for that and what should i do choke way up like off the grip to hit it where i normally do( when i do this shots are extremely short).  Then went back to what i normally do and they were straight and normal distance for me which is 150 9 iron.  I did these movies in slow motion and edited them for you to try and help you some.  i think when my timing is right i have a very slight draw while doing this off the tee.

thanks again andy

as you can tell the first shot was hit off of toe and was a push slice i beleive , and i know my camera angle isn't the best cause i forgot my bucket to put my tripod on

I would try loosening my grip a little bit.

If you grip the club too tightly, the tension goes right up your arms. Just relax a little bit.

Basically, you have  adecent swing going there. Just lose the death grip and try a little bit of a waggle at address to loosen up.

hey shorty,

yea i don't know why i do that, i guess i feel like the club will spin on me or something, maybe you can answer this for me but i got a glove 4 rounds ago a callaway and it has a hole inbetween the thumb and pointer, and a hole below the pinky on the palm of the hand.  and very wore down on the fingertips.  I guess i am asking how long should a glove last in terms of 18 hole rounds.

I'm no instructor or pro at golf.  My expertise is taxes and accounting, (April 17th almost here!), but I have read a lot of instruction from the pros here, and before kids and career got my handicap down to single digit.  That being said, here is what I see...

I really don't think you need to worry about grip pressure.

I think just look at what everythinggolf said and the photos he showed you.  To me your problem of early extension or standing up too early comes from setup and lack of lower body movement to the target at the start of the downswing.

First, look at first picture against Alvero's and you see you have too much knee flex.  Just a slight need bend would do.  Also, I see that your feet are square, flaring them out a should help with turning and lower body movement.

Second, on your down swing you can see on the third picture down that your right hip/leg has moved toward the ball and not towards the target/left leg. At this point the only way you can hit the shot is for your upper body to move up and out of the shot.  Notice on your other videos, you tend to fall off balance to the right, towards the ball on your follow-through.

There are plenty of threads here explaining proper lower body movements, posture, etc.

A glove wearing out usually means that you "regirp" at the top of your backswing. Meaning that your hands/fingers move, causing friction.

I have had gloves last one shot aor several months. I prefer the synthetic ones - Callaway Warbird are good, durable and cheap.

If you but the most expensive leather ones, they'll wear out immediately!
