I've been Playing Golf for: 5 years

My current handicap index or average score is: 5-8 index

My typical ball flight is: Push/Push fade

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Help me get the draw part of push draw!

Hey guys, I'm a member of a few other forums, but I thought I'd post here as I've been getting more into what the Golf Evolution/S&T;/5SK guys teach.  mvmac and the others have been very helpful in the past.  I'm struggling with a weak push or push fade flight that I can't get to draw.  Things I'm working on when I practice include more #2  and deep hands in the backswing, hips forward, and keeping the right knee from flexing towards the ball.  Thanks!

I think you do a lot of good things.  There are certainly others who are more knowledgeable than me, but try looking at a recent thread by Erik about secondary axis tilt related to sliding of the hips.  You have your hips forward much of the swing, so you likely don`t need a big slide, but it seems like your upper body has the same angle as the hips.

Allowing your right arm to cross over your left (release) more on the follow through may help turn a push fade into a push draw with more power.  Keeping your head back a bit more (or sliding the hips more forward a bit) may help with this.

Tweak setup a bit:

Downswing: weight continues to go forward but more importantly feel palmar flexion of the left wrist throughout the entire downswing, a handle that raises through impact, and a long arc in the follow through. Hit a bunch of shots stopping like Dave:

So I re-discovered this forum recently after googling some 5SK stuff.  It's now a couple of years later and I am still struggling with consistency which is bumming me out!  I'm finding it hard to get the look that Dave has in the post by Eric above me and make that happen in a normal swing on the golf course.  Here's a swing from today.

Bad misses seem to happen when I feel like I spin out too fast without getting the 'stretched' feeling when trying to get Dave's look.  When I do feel 'stretched' and looking over right shoulder and hit a good one, it looks like I'm still bunched up on video.  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

Do you have a face-on video?

Here are a DTL and face on from the same session where I was trying a different feel on the DS, but to me it looks like Key 4 is still off for one thing.

Tried some different feels today and mainly stuck with this drill as it was giving me the best contact.  Any tips on how to bring this drill (palmar flexion feel) into a full swing?  I seem to lose it when I try to make a full swing.

Work on it at the size/speed you can do it at 5 or 6 times out of 10. Then when you can do it at that speed 9 or 10 times out of 10, ramp up the speed or length a little bit. You'll fall back down to 5 or 6… lather, rinse, repeat.

Thanks, I will keep at it using the formula you described.

    • They need to do something to speed  up play. They could randomly  time  players. One  idea would  be  if a group gets  out  of  position they are disqualified. If its a group of  3 and  its  1 player playing like  molasses i can imagine an exciting interaction, lol
    • I agree with @dennyjones, a suspension of some meaningful duration would be better than getting bounced from the Tour. They might consider experimenting each week. It might generate a bit of interest. I like the idea of a visible shot clock. If a player and their caddy can’t decide on a strategy and pull the trigger in XX seconds (30? 45? 60?), one stroke penalty. Give each player 2 resets a round. The clock starts when the last player to hit’s ball stops moving. Other pace ideas could be used every couple events until a consensus is reached to adopt or ditch an idea.
