How's Dynamic Gold compared with the new Rifle Project X shafts ?

They are slighty lighter (the Project X) than DG... but thats all I know.
Whats in my Golf Bag:
Driver: Nike Sumo 5000
5 Wood: Mizuno MP-001
Iron: Mizuno MX-950 5-PW
Wedge: Cobra FP 60 degrePutter: Odyssey 2-BallBall: Yellow balls

I read those insights by gas_can. High launch, penetrating trajectory.... but how about the feel... does project X absorb vibration more or less?

ronaldkuntoro,

All steel shafts transmit the same amount of vibration - 100%. They do however react differently to vibration like different tuning forks resonate at different pitches. Describing that would be akin to me trying to describe my favorite food to you. The best thing to do is get out there and try them and decide for yourself. The only two materials which absorb vibration are graphite (complete vibration dampening) and steel with inserts such as Sensicore (partial dampening). Project X gets labeled very often as being "boardy" because it is extremely stiff in the butt, it is one of the few shafts that people either love or hate, there is no middle ground. The new Project X from True Temper seems to be missing something - they're coming out stiffer in frequency than the old Royal Precision models. So I would go down a full frequency further than what you would normally go with. I was also very disappointed that True Temper decided not to retain the designer of Project X, Kim Braley. Something's rotten in the state of True Temper. Dynamic Gold is pretty much the exact opposite, soft in the butt, and has a very characteristic feel. You have all the information (maybe too much). They're both easily available now, so forget the online advice and try them for yourself to make your decision.
