My dad and I are looking for father-son (or two-man) tournaments to compete in, preferably around the North Texas/southern oklahoma area. I've been searching every term I can think of and I can't find anything on the internet.

Format doesn't really matter, but we would like some prizes to be involved. Scramble, total score, best ball, match play, etc. Whatever. Any help?

How competitive do you want it?  If you want something serious, check amateurgolf.com.  You can search by state.  Some of their tournaments are two man teams.  If you are just looking for something fun and low pressure, go to the websites of golf courses in your area.  They should have a listing of up coming events.

amateurgolf.com requires a membership to view information on tournaments. All I can look at is the name of the tournament and the course it is at. Kinda stupid.

I only have 2 or 3 local courses and they don't have many tournaments. We'd like to travel a bit, and once you get to dallas there are dozens and dozens of courses. It's a task to look up every single one and check their websites, plus doing that you don't know which ones are good and which ones aren't. We don't really need anything "USGA amateur competitive", but we do like higher profile stuff. We like a challenge.
