One of the things that helped me in the same situation was to slow down my swing a bit and move the ball up in my stance a bit. I tried offseting my stance to correct it and it was very inconsistent and got me funny looks. Let us know what works for ya!

What stiffness is the shaft? I'll bet you're using stiff when you should be using regular, or X when you should be using stiff. This was happening to me when I got my first driver. When I fixed the shaft, I started hitting it straighter... sure, fairways aren't a given, but I'm not hitting the wrong fairway most of the time anymore.
