Bridgestone Irons

First time poster here, forgive me if this is in the wrong section.

I'm a 20 y/o former avid golfer that has not played consistently for the past three years because of baseball commitments. For a crazy reason, I will be receiving a Bridgestone iron set of my choice. My question boils down to this: should I be looking at the J40 cavity back irons ( http://www.bridgestonegolf.com/product/clubs/j40-cavity-back-irons ) or the J40 dual pocket cavity irons( http://www.bridgestonegolf.com/product/clubs/j40-dual-pocket-cavity-irons )?

Skill-level: used to shoot low 90's when I played regularly as a junior member at an above average golf course in terms of difficulty.

I realize these clubs are geared towards "professionals to mid handicap amateurs", though I can't pass up this deal. Hopefully I can grow into the quality of these clubs. Any recommendations as to which would be appropriate for me? If you need any information, I'm happy to oblige.

That is an excellent set of irons and you will be very happy with them. They are forgiving enough to allow you to grow into them. But will also give you great performance forever. Highly recommend these irons.

I would go to the Bridgestone website and look at what they have to say about which irons are aimed at which handicaps.

Either way, super high end irons. Congrats.

Both irons are aimed at the same group (professional to mid hcp players).... If it was me, I'd go with whichever you think looks better, which in my opinion is the Dual-Pocket CB.

      Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.

      Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.

      Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
