I read somewhere that this company is known for doing this. They offer like 10% back or something like that.  I can't remember exactly, but it made this sound like less of a surprise than when I first read it.

There was a big sports book in Ireland that figured there was no point in waiting, and went ahead an paid off bets on Tiger when he had a four shot lead after the second round of the 2009 PGA. They didn't try to get it back, and lost a couple million bucks.
