My trusty FT Tout cracked a few weeks ago.  I didn't think Callaway would replace it, but the guy from my local golf course called them up and a week later, now i have a brand spankin new Razr Fit!  I am very happy with Callaway that they sent a replacement.

The only problem:  They sent it with the Aldila Rip'D 60g Stiff shaft.  I might as well be swinging with the head and grip connected with a string.  It is brand new, wrapping still intact.

My FT Tour had the VooDoo SVS6 (the red one), which I was fitted for, and I loved it.

So i stop by the golf store and they will give me an FT Tour in very good condition (used) plus $125 in store credit in exchange for the Razr fit.  I almost said yes on the spot, but $125 won't get me too far in a store like that...everything is pretty decently priced.  So i said I would think about it.

So today I put an add on Craigslist to try to sell it for $300...i think i will wait for a little bit and see if anyone calls on it.  But i don't want to hold on to the driver for too long because i want to get rid of it before the price drops.

I am also thinking of calling Callaway and seeing what it will take to get this club with my preferred shaft.

I don't really want to spend any money at this time due to work slowing down for the fall/winter, but i guess if i had to pay a few extra dollars I would at least think about it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the best course of action here???

If I read your post correctly:

1) You had a good used FT driver that you liked,

2) You now have the option of getting a good used FT driver plus $125.

Don't overthink it. You won't get $300 on Craigslist or on Ebay. Take the golf store's offer.

Yeah, you will not get $300 for this.    That's actually a dollar more than stores like Golfsmith are selling it for new!    Why would a buyer want to buy from you instead of a store that can back up the sale?

Why not have your old VooDoo shaft pulled and put on a RazrFit adapter and use it on the new club?

I had to return the old driver so i don't have the Voodoo shaft anymore.  I was going to take the deal but had somebody telling me not to go back to an older head....i wouldn't mind going back to the FT Tour, but i just wonder if the used one i could trade in for would crack next season anyway.  But also the 125 dollars is store credit and the place is priced up pretty high and overvalues most of their used clubs...The 300 bucks is the high end  i could charge but i was thinking they would talk me down anyway if they were interested.

I just like input before making decisions so i appreciate any opinions...by Harmonious' i do feel better with taking the deal.  I was pretty close to doing it since that is the club i was happy with before plus 125 dollars store credit (which i could turn into 250 dollars in golf stuff on the internet or use on a new gun or something like that)...but i really don't expect to get the full 300 for it either.  So i'll probly lean toward going back to the golf store tomorrow......thanks!

Nevermind, got it taken care of.

I finally got a hold of Callaway (being that it is now a work day) and they are sending me the VooDoo SVS6 and paying for the shipping while i send back the other shaft.  3 minute phone conversation, no problems.

I didn't think they would do that.  I am VERY happy with Callaway and their customer service.  Awesome to deal with!

Thanks for the responses...I was a little anxious in making any decisions so the help is appreciated.

Nice, that kind of customer service is something I'll have to keep in mind if I ever decide to replace my G10.
