Ok so when I put a full swing on a club, I get this weird pain in my left hand....but its on the inside/the palm side of the hand.I would reckon its something to do with my thumb but it doesn't feel like tendonitis or anything of that nature..doesn't hurt when I do anything else except anything that applies fast pressure on it(swinging motions).

I know about seeing a doctor..just try to avoid going if its something i can let heal up on its own.

Bit more  info, like has this been happening for a day, a week, a year?

From what I know of my own injuries, muscles clear up in a couple days or weeks. Ligaments/tendons can take 6 weeks if strained.

If you do something that also impacts the area, chores at home using shovels or chopping wood orsomething, or hobbies like cycling or mountain biking could put pressure on that same areas without you noticing.

I popped a muscle on the side of my wrist from using an axe, physio said it was the strangest thing they'd seen, was inflamed for 5 weeks I think.

So it could be a number of things, but you have to work out anything else that could have caused it, and if it doesn't clear up, get it seen to..

the only time the pain returns is when I swing a club or a hammer or things like that....things that flex that area of the hand.  I haven't had any impacts to the hand that would cause a broken bone...and it just started happening out of the blue about a month ago when I started making practice swings getting ready for the new season.  the only other "symptom" that I could think of thats related is that my first thumb joint (closests to nail) always feels stiff now.  I'm thinking its such a weird area for pain that I'm gonna have to have it looked at.

    • It's likely per "category" of clubs, so irons would be one category, wedges would be a category, driver a category, fairway woods/hybrid a category, etc. They aren't going to charge you $50 per iron for a fitting. Almost all iron fittings are done with like a 6 or 7 iron, fitters don't carry full sets of every iron. So yes, if you use a 7 iron for the fitting and let's say you get fit into the P790 with a certain shaft, 1 degree flat and .5" longer than normal you would just order the full set of P790s with that shaft/lie angle/length combination and you'll be perfectly fine.
    • I think the $50 fitting price tag is per club. The clubs I am most interested in getting fitted for are irons. And I'd rather not spend a bunch on getting fitted for multiple irons. Would I be fairly safe to assume that choosing something like a 6 or 7 iron for fitting would likely relate to other lofts in the same configuration/make/model?
    • A Mevo is 500. Comes with little decals to hit balls inside too.
    • I replaced a 3 driving iron as it was called. If I hit it clean it went close to 180 like the hybrid does but it was very inconsistent. I had to aim left because it would fade and I could never hit it dead nuts straight. We have a lot of wind being by the ocean so a left to right wind was suicidal with that club for me. I don't have a lot of Shot Scope data so far that would show yardage as far as dispersion or proximity to hole goes, but so far everything is staying relatively tight. I am not spraying the ball, I feel like it goes where I aim, any thing off is user error and not the club.
    • Ok, great. Best of luck to you in the future. I gave you the answer for significantly less than $20k though, just sayin.
