So many things about this swing that I wish I could improve.  The club "flip" at the beginning is a frequent source of ridicule among my peers, and I seem to have trouble maintaining the straight lead arm (left) through the backswing.

I strike the ball well, tend to hit straight to a slight fade, with a lot of spin.  I would love to be able to hit the push draw with my irons, particularly the longer irons.  I've managed to learn to hit the draw with my driver, but haven't been able to replicate the result with irons.

Could you better answer the shot you hate? A "bogey" is not a shot.

Do you pull the ball? Hit it too low? Snap hook it? Over-fade (slice) it?

A fade is a great shot. What's your miss?

P.S. "A perfect backswing" is not one of the 5 Simple Keys. :) I'm not even sure what a perfect backswing is... So tell your friends to stick it. :D

OK, bogey isn't a shot, but it does bother me!  If I have a miss tendency, it's a pull/fade (which may not sound like a miss, but since it's not my objective, it's still a 'miss' in my book).  If I'm "off" I may overfade, or even block shots, but mostly I struggle with an inability to move the ball right to left with my irons.  I can shape the ball left to right with comfort.

If I had to pick one area of weakness, my full shots with SW or LW have given me trouble for some time.  I haven't found a SW that I can hit reliably farther than 90 yards off the fairway, which causes some trouble when my stock GW flies 110.  I have learned to flight my GW, but I am pretty sure the SW is a curable problem, not one of clubhead speed or ability.

I have been working on a higher launch with the driver, with some considerable success, and at times have seen a snap hook decorate my score card.  My iron game is typically a mid or (planned) low trajectory shot with tons of spin.  I do have trouble on pitched greens with front pins, for this reason.

Lately my long irons have been giving me trouble (slap contact more than a predictable miss), but I suppose a pull cut is my tendency with those clubs.
