" The large surface area brings more of the grip into contact with the hands,
inhibiting breakdown of the wrists and encouraging use of the preferred arm-and-shoulders putting motion. Scientific tests have shown that the SuperStroke requires up to 32% less grip tension and represents a significant improvement over conventional narrow putter grips. The SuperStroke’s size encourages use of a “soft hands” technique and ensures a smooth and fluid putting stroke. "

Does anyone on the board have one of these puppies? Sounds interesting, and it is the same putter grip that K.J. Choi had on his putter when played in the AT&T.; Whoever has one of these...Does it work?

I watched the informational video and it seems like a pretty interesting technology but I'm not one to mess with putter technology I guess. I don't know if I could past the visual aesthetics of the grip, even if the technology worked.

I am skeptic on this one. It might help but I am not having a goofy looking grip on my pretty putter.

work for this company also in sales. Its basically to instill the pendulum motion in the putting stroke and to get people to stop using their wrists. Its very odd to say the least to start with, but I will tell you that when I used it on an indoor putting surface in our office, my putts did seem to roll a lot better.

OK, so you're a microbiologist, you work for skycaddie in sales and you work for "this company" [

www.superstrokegrip.com] in sales -- anything else we need to know?

For what it's worth, I bought and installed the superstroke on my favorite Never Compromise putter. It worked so well for me that I bought a second and installed on my backup and if they weren't so expensive I would have bought more. I think it works for this wristy putter. Specially 4 ft. in. Kept stats when I first used the unit and went from avg. 34 putts to 30 on same golf course. Caution: it's a big thing and needs a separate compartment or carrying case to carry it around. Also, the piece at the bottom, a plastic insert, has broken on both my units. Customer service said too bad and did not replace the part as requested nor did they evidence any sympathy for my problem. I'd look at the large grip Jimenez is using before I'd buy another superstroke.

All this is just one mans experience. Bottom line: The super large grip has great merit, helps develop a more consistent pendulum stroke but I'm not sure Superstroke has the answer. It's expensive, cumbersome and fragile.

The one jimenez uses, the 2 thumb putter grip, is also half the price of the super stroke. It has 3 variations of it too, and is sold by golfsmith. I think I might try it.

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
