sometimes using paypal is a pain. I recently sold a golf club and still have no access to the funds. I shipped immediately, got confirmation of delivery and even positive feedback from the buyer stating "fast shipping, item as described". I complained to paypal and their lengthy response was quoting their policy and assuring me that funds would be released within 3 days after confirmation of delivery. They claim that they only see that the item was "accepted into shipping".  Giving them the benefit of doubt, the original tracking number is not valid as I had to add postage at the post office and they had put a new tracking number on it. Still, the item is marked as having been received on June 3 on the EBAY site.  To add to my frustration, the buyer did not receive confirmation that his funds were sent and threatened to cancel the transaction because paypal had told me that although the buyer had placed the funds that they had not yet cleared.  Paypal had even advised me NOT to ship until after the funds cleared. Knowing that the funds were there although not cleared, I shipped anyway to satisfy the buyer.  Now the funds have cleared, the buyer has his item, but paypay will  not grant me access until they are informed of delivery confirmation which has already occurred. I am confident that eventually I will get the access, but it still pisses me off to have to wait for paypal to verify confirmation that has been in place for over a week.
