Just wanted to post a newbie hello from Charlotte. I have been playing golf for about 8 years and I have had my game fall apart and come back more times than I can remember. Currently around a 14 handicap though I don't keep it exact because every time I have tried there has been the inevitable fall apart of my golf swing and I post high 90 to low 100 scores for a couple of weeks and then I no longer want to keep my handicap. I have taken a couple lessons and gotten real cerebral about the game lately and I am ready to take the next step to becoming a scratch golfer. I have read lots of posts on this site through google searches while working on my swing and decided to join so I can join in the conversations. Look forward to talking golf while hopefully improving my game and maybe one day helping out some fellow golfers.

James

    • Day 235 (24 Dec 24) - Rainy Christmas Eve day - worked on putting stroke by rolling a few on the carpet.  Lagging for distance was goal using a version of the ladder drill - started off by going up - 1st step about 3’ - and then stepping a bit higher with each successive roll.  Then stepping down the ladder with each roll resulting in a bit shorter roll.  A fun drill where pace is key.
