Hello,

I've been reading for about a year now. Mostly trying to learn this game and reach my goals. I've been pretty serious for about 10 months now. Before that I played maybe three times a year. I usually play twice a week, and practice twice a week. Zero lessons. I guess you could say I am doing this the hard way. Figuring out what I am doing wrong and reading/watching instructional videos. I've always had good hand eye coordination so I feel I'm progressing at a good pace. My best round is 81. 40/41. My current goal is to break 80. To reach that goal I have to break 40 on 9.

My current weakness is blocking shots to the right. I played yesterday and missed 10 greens to the right. I also missed the fairway to the right several times. Fought to the end to keep it under 90.

I am currently sliding my left hip (right handed) toward to the target in the down swing. This seems to be causing the block shots to the right. Any tips would be appreciated!

-Finley
