A smoggy day in Beijing Town
Had me low and had me down
I viewed the morning with alarm
Smog delayed golf had lost its charm

It's bad over there.  I've been to Shanghai, Guangzhou and a few other cities and thought they were bad.  I have not been to Beijing, but I have heard it is the worst.  When you can't see the mountains 5 miles away, it is bad.

Used to be that way in So. Cal., my aunt recounted not ever knowing there were mountains over Pasadena. I wonder if China will switch to electric cars anytime soon?

It's the coal power plants and coal used for heating and cooking that is the major cause.  Electric cars would really just shift the problem back to the power plants.

Last month, I noticed a lot of solar panels on many of the factory rooftops. Hopefully, that will mitigate some of the demand as well.
