Hey Guys, I'm heading to OC next weekend staying with a friend who also plays golf so we decided to play a round of golf with her and her dad. Now I'm looking for some nice courses in the area that we could play. To make it a bit more difficult: she is on a budget and doesn't want to pay more then $50. We are looking at an afternoon/ twilight round. I am in for something with good scenery and a nice layout. So far she has put tijeras creek up for discussion, I have been told that industry hills, strawberry farm and Tustin Ranch are nice but I guess a bit out of her budget. Give me your thoughts please:)

Hey Roman,

Tijeras Creek is great.  Also, here are a few others:

Talega.  http://talegagolfclub.com/talega-golf-course.html  It's $60 at twilight during the week (although I don't actually know when Twilight starts)

Arroyo Trabuco is fun ... $57 twilight http://arroyotrabuco.com/index.aspx

A couple of nice munis too ... San Clemente Municipal and Mile Square (in Westminster) are both worthwhile.

Heard San Clemente Muni is nice as well. If you dont mind playing 9, Aliso Creek is a nice course as well.

Not sure how far you are away from La Mirada but La Mirada Golf Course is fun, nice greens for the most part.

I played there Sat for the first time in years, some slow play but there twilight starts at 12:30 it was under $40,I think $37? and you get a cart.
