Yoooooooooooooo! whats up guys, so after creeping this site for over a year i feel like id like to participate in some of the talk, i personally feel this is one of the better golf forums, i do alot of searching through old threads and so much awesome info, honestly.

So I have AP1 712, 5-PW, midsize grip, standard lofts, bent to my needs.. I used to suck, and now im an 8 handicap in a few short years, and ALLLOOOOOOOT of dedication, now all my friends think i have some secret but.. golf is only earned, i started with some wilsons 200$ set, got to around mid 80s and wanted to take my achievements to the next level which is why i upgraded.

scotty cameron 1.5 newport putter for those who care... which i love.

however, i bought a set 3-pw of zo kzg blades, i love them to.. its a love triangle between my irons. ive not played with the zo on the course but i practice with them, however, now that im so much better i hate the look of my ap1's .. ap2s are so expensive, i got the blades for 200$ on ebay in AWESOME mint condition. im a great ball striker so even a mishit is still in proximity of shots, i was reading an old thread about the 'blade haters', the distance control is bar none.

my question.. i have this X100 shaft on my KZGs, not bad, but i had R300 on my AP1s, has anyone switched iron shafts? is it worth it? not alot of info out there about ppl doing so. Wondering if my trajectory or ball flight would be bad or not? .. why do it right? well i dont swing that damn fast but fast enough, and curious to know what i would face.. i seek the communities input!

i recently went through some lessons to help with my alignment and my instructor said im good enough to play anything and its what im comfortable with...idk why but as of late, im hitting my blades better than ap1's, too damn bulky and not as confident as my blades. so im looking to switch, i already know and im experienced enough before you guys say 'not forgiving', i dont hit that bad of a mishit to worry, trust me. hit the sweet spot on an SGI and it goes 10-15 yards further, thats bullshit to me personally.

anyhow, you guys rock, well most lol some dudes are too opinionated nd think their right no matter but thats why its a forum! thanks guys.

btw, my buddy had an old set of KZG and i used to hit his muscleback type blade and i loooved the look so that tempted me to get the zo blade...in case someone wondered as to why i went with it.

Tough to say since we don't have any numbers to go by. There's not a lot of info because it's pretty rare to go from regular flex to an extra stiff. What's your swing speed?

Swing speed with 6iron was right around 80? if I remember my last visit to Golfsmith, with the Driver was high 90's-100. The X100 my instructor mentioned is a rare shaft, he said its customed and special ordered. I wouldnt really know. They just happen to be on the clubs which i dont mind cause sometimes stiff can be more control but it can also prevent the shaft from closing the face...more or less depending on the swing.

Then typically for that swing speed I would go with a stiff flex or a light weight stiff.
