Could not follow up my PR round yesterday with another good round. Instead, I carded my median score of 91. Had one of the best short games in a long time, just needing 26 putts. It was needed b/c my approach shots were going nowhere. Ended up with only 2 GIRs. 3w led to 3 OBs and did all the damage to the round.
Lots and lots of people will tell you to go get fitted . .it's not bad advice . .especially if you don't mind spending the money. But your swing is probably still under development - and if your clubs were a bad fit for you, you wouldn't be breaking 80 in 5 months. Tons of people play just great with standard gear.
Right now it's July . I say play out the season and think about getting fitted over the winter. Unless you don't mind spending the money . .cause it can really never hurt. With the track you're on, though . I'd be worried it would stall my progress.
Here's one thing I've discovered about moisture wicking underwear, particularly underpants. They can work perfectly, but will do you no good if you put a pair of cotton shorts or pants over them. You also need moisture wicking, breathable outerwear or you still wind up with a case of swamp ass!
Arrrgggh! More shopping to do!
Ok that makes sense I guess I was just curious if there are any noticeable differences and your definitely right about the chunky look of the irons lol but I don't mind. Also curious if getting these clubs fitted to me would help alot or buying a fitted set cause I'm not entirely sure how all of that works
Looks like an interesting leader board for the weekend. Could be a multi-player shootout like 2014.
The brown patches on the greens are just 'cosmetic' per comments Phil M. made in his interview. Said they don't affect how well the greens are rolling.
