So I've been debating some new wedges for a few months, as my sand was a generic clubhead on a crap shaft, and I don't have a gap wedge. So after much deliberating and club evaluation, I went with the 52-8 Vokey Oil Can, and the 56-14 Spin Milled Vokey. Gorgeous clubs, soft, easy to get the ball up, etc.

So what happens? I have my first playoff game of the baseball season (Adult baseball, www.pssbl.com ) last night, and tear open my right hand on the soft skin between the thumb and index finger. Probably no golf for at least two weeks. :( :( Major bummer man. Now I can't even practice with the new clubs :P.

Just had to share my joy and pain.

I know your feeling. I bought all new clubs this year and i was playing the best golf I've played since freshman year high school, and i get in a car accident and develop some complications. Almost 2 months this year i could not play.

Just brush on some

New Skin and get out there and play!! Are the Vokey wedges heavier than others? I picked one up today and the clubhead felt noticably heavy. I use Ping i3 wedges. Is there an advantage to playing a heavier wedge? Maybe it gets through the rough and sand easier?

I can't actually tell you if the wedges feel heavier. I'm not quite good enough to really tell yet... Although in my last two 9s I've shot 7 and 4 over respectively, and had my first tap in birdie...
